RIVERWOOD GOLF COURSE celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2009 and has changed its complexion over the past four decades through the addition of 23 bunkers, new cart paths, and the relocation of several tees. The golf course provides a wonderful test of golf as accuracy off the tee is at a premium. The tree-lined fairways and impeccable conditions of fairways and greens provide a wonderful experience to all golfers. From the back tee, players can test their skill from a distance measuring 7,004 yards at a par 72.

Riverwood is located in the gallery forest of the Missouri River. The massive cottonwoods not only shelter play from the wind, but also provide homes for plenty of woodland wildlife including white tail deer, wild turkey, and the occasional red fox.

Riverwood restricts golf cars to the golf car path at all times, but the course is extremely walker-friendly. Riverwood was also the #1 Best Public Golf Course in North Dakota and received a 4-star Rating out of 5 in Golf Digest’s “Best Public Places to Play” in 2009.

Club rentals, golf shop, all major brands of golf merchandise, club repair, snack shop, driving range, putting green, chipping green, on-course beverage and snack service, golf lessons by a PGA professional, and golf car rental are all available.
